Mark Byrnes snapped up by A.P.I.A.-Leichhardt Tigers
The club has captured the prized signing of former Australian Joeys skipper Mark Byrnes till the rest of the TeleChoice Premier League season.
The 26-year-old no nonsense defender was also part of the A-League with the Melbourne Victory and also heralded stints overseas with Austria Salzburg, Vicenza Calcio, FC Hameelinna and more recently played in the Victorian Premier League with Richmond SC.
Byrnes did try his luck again abroad in January this year and went on trial with English lower league sides Luton Town and Port Vale. The former Joey did impress during his trial stints and was set to be given a contract but he suffered a medial ligament strain during his trial period.
