SMALL SIDED GAMES: It’s the way of the future for junior football – the new revolution. In 2008, Football NSW in conjunction with the FFA has introduced small sided games to 16 Associations. This week we go behind the scenes at a special Gala Day at Gymea United and are joined by the likes of ex-Socceroos Tony Popovic and David Zdrilic and Sydney FC midfielder Terry McFlynn.
JAKE BARKER DAISH: This talented 15yo footballer from the Altona Magic Club in Melbourne is set to make a significant choice between the world game and cricket. That’s understandable because Jake is related to cricket royalty!
PAUL BENTVELZEN: Each week Football Stars of Tomorrow features two special coaching segments from FNSW High Performance manager Paul Bentvelzen.
THE CHALLENGE: This is a new segment and one which gives some youngsters the chance to test their skills against A-League opponents. This week three 12–year-old Novocastrians Reece Papas, Darcy Owens and Ryan Bailey take on Newcastle Jets trio Jin-Hyung Song, Ben Kantarovski and Jason Naidovski in the CROSSBAR Challenge. You won’t want to miss this!!
