The eagerly awaited Blacktown Spartans-Stanmore Hawks match will have to wait until a future date, pitting together the free scoring Spartans against the resolute defence of the Hawks.
Sydney Wanderers-Hurstville ZFC and Dulwich Hill-Schofield Scorpions were also postponed to a date and venue yet to be decided.
On Sunday, Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre fell foul of the weather, therefore postponing the Hurstville City Minotaurs-Hills Brumbies clash.
There were two games however that went ahead on Sunday afternoon, and it was the competition front runners, Spirit FC and Inter Lions, that added three points to climb further away from the chasing pack.
At the well-drained Christie Park, leaders Spirit FC did it tough as they came from behind to snatch a late victory over a stubborn Mounties FC.
Stocky striker Papanicolaou put the home side in front after just 8 minutes, but Mounties equalized with a goal by Tomich in the 28th minute.
Mounties FC then took the lead when Coulson scored just nine minutes into the second half, but Spirit defender Cunningham restored parity when he grabbed his third goal of the season after 66 minutes.
A draw looked the likely result, except Findlay didn?t read the script, and he scored a winner for Spirit FC five minutes into injury time to keep his club at the top of Division One.
At Concord Oval, Inter Lions kept up the heat on Spirit when they themselves came from behind to beat bottom side UNSW 2-1.
An own goal after just four minutes gifted UNSW an unlikely early lead, but goals by two players returning to the Inter lineup gave the home side the spoils.
Paras equalized after just 25 minutes, before Bugallo grabbed the winner in the 84th minute, to put Inter Lions on 25 points, one point off the lead.
