New Mariners Holiday Camps just around the corner
The first Holiday Camp is set to run from Tuesday, 8 July through to Thursday, 10 July at Budgewoi?s Frank Millington Field, with the second camp to be held at Jubilee Park, The Entrance, from Tuesday, 15 July through to Thursday, 17 July.
The Holiday Camps, which will be supervised by foundation Mariner and recently appointed Youth Development Co-ordinator Damien Brown, will see all participants put through their paces by qualified coaches and treated to a visit from the Mariners playing squad.
For just $150 per child, participants will receive a t-shirt, football, drink bottle and backpack, in addition to the exclusive opportunity to rub shoulders with the Mariners? season four line up as they prepare for the Hyundai A-League 2008/09 campaign.
Each day of the three-day Holiday Camps will begin at 9am and conclude at 12pm, with morning tea and drinks provided for all participants by Fruit For All.
“These Holiday Camps are an excellent way to promote a healthy and active lifestyle through football and also give all Central Coast youngsters a chance to rub shoulders with their heroes,” said Mariners Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman.
Youth Development Co-ordinator Brown is looking forward to unveiling the Mariners’ latest community initiative early next month, having taken up his new role after retiring from competitive football only recently.
“Our camps will introduce these young footballers to some of the training drills that the Mariners themselves are put through, all within a fun and interactive environment,” said Brown.
