Macarthur District Soccer Football Association Gala Dinner a Success

Representatives from the Football Federation of Australia (FFA), Football NSW, MDSFA local clubs, the Macarthur Rams, Campbelltown Quake, Local Council partners, sponsors and supporters all joined together in a night of celebrations which saw the presence of Guest speaker, former Socceroo and Olyroo Coach Raul Blanco entertained guests with his soccer experiences.
Life member of the MDSFA and current Football NSW Director Rob Laws gave a presentation on some of the significant achievements and milestones of the MDSFA.
Football NSW Director Ross Kelly presented MDSFA Chairman Rob Burns a plaque commemorating this significant milestone and current Sydney FC player Brendan Santalab spoke about his soccer experiences.
Guests were also entertained by a five piece dance band and feasted on a sumptuous three course meal.
Several auction items went under the hammer including sporting memorabilia autographed by sporting luminaries including Macarthur bred Socceroo star Brett Emerton and his Socceroo team mates Mark Schwarzer and Tim Cahill, world boxing greats Kostya Tszyu and Jeff Fenech, Australian cricket star Matt Hayden, V8 Super car drivers and a signed jersey by the Sydney FC team.
A great night was had by all.
The MDSFA Board of Directors plan to make this gala dinner an annual event.
