Premier Youth League Catch-Up matches

There were two sets of catch-up games played on the weekend, both from Round 15, and they were between Marconi Stallions and Manly United and Blacktown City Demons and APIA Leichhardt Tigers.
In the Grade 13 clash the Demons took the points with a 1-0 victory and that has left them in third place while the Tigers are seventh and three points outside the top five. Marconi were also 1-0 winners over Manly and that has left the Stallions in second spot and Manly at fourth.
Blacktown also bagged the points in the Grade 14 encounter with a 2-0 result and they currently lead the way on the table by three points while the Tigers are eighth. Marconi produced a 6-0 win over Manly and the Stallions are second while Manly are placed thirteenth.
The Grade 15 clash between the Demons and the Tigers was played a fortnight ago while the fourth placed Stallions came up with a 2-0 win over seventh placed Manly.
It was real top of the table action in Grade 16 this week. The Demons and the Tigers played out a 1-1 draw and Marconi grabbed all the points with a 2-0 result. That has left Manly at the top of the table by one point, Leichhardt in second spot, Marconi five points back at third and Blacktown are four points further away at fourth.
In Grade 18 the Tigers produced a 2-1 result that puts them into second spot, two points behind the Demons, while Marconi are fifth after they went down 2-1 to eighth placed Manly. In addition, ninth placed Sydney United were 2-0 winners over sixth placed Wollongong FC who are now three points outside the top five.
