Super Youth League Round 21 Review

The Club Championship is till up for grabs and only three of the five Premierships have been decided. Then there is the pecking order inside the top five to be considered and in some cases there are teams currently on the cusp of places in the top five will be playing to win and hoping that someone above them slips up.
This week was interesting but the results next week will make fascinating reading for a wide variety of reasons. Good luck to all concerned.
The Club Championship
PCYC Parramatta Eagles have a lead of four points at the top of the table after they pocketed eight points at home to ninth placed Southern NSW while Northern Tigers are in second spot following their gain of thirteen points at home to eleventh placed Schofields Scorpions who gained an extra four points from their Round 16 catch-up match with Spirit FC.
Spirit used their ten points share of the catch-up points and the thirteen points they took from last placed St George to move up from ninth to sixth. Bonnyrigg White Eagles are in third place after they bagged the full ration of the points from their visit to tenth placed Sydney Wanderers.
Central Coast Lightning are placed fourth after they earned ten points at home to seventh placed Granville Rage and Western Panthers are in fifth position following their profit of eight points at eighth placed Dulwich Hill.
Grade 13
Central Coast Lightning are the competition frontrunners by a margin of three points after they were 2-0 winners over second placed Granville Rage while Western Panthers are in third position, four points further back, following their 1-1 draw with eleventh placed Dulwich Hill.
PCYC Parramatta Eagles are three points further adrift at fourth after they went down by the odd goal in seven to seventh placed Southern NSW and Bonnyrigg White Eagles are fifth on goal difference following their 2-1 success over sixth placed Sydney Wanderers who are only two points outside the top five.
Northern Tigers are in eighth place after they posted a scoreless draw with Schofields Scorpions who have remained in twelfth place after they lost a Round 16 catch-up match with tenth placed Spirit FC who had beaten ninth placed St George on Saturday.
Grade 14
Bonnyrigg White Eagles had been declared Premiers last week and they have a lead of ten points at they top of the ladder following their 3-0 victory over ninth placed Sydney Wanderers while second placed Western Panthers played out a 1-1 draw with third placed Dulwich Hill.
Schofields Scorpions are fourth after they lost 1-0 to fifth placed Northern Tigers and then they went down to seventh placed Spirit FC by the same scoreline in a Round 16 catch-up match. Spirit had held sixth placed St George to a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
PCYC Parramatta Eagles are eighth after they registered a scoreless draw with eleventh placed Southern NSW and Central Coast Lightning are tenth following their 2-1 result over twelfth placed Granville Rage.
Grade 15
Western Panthers are two points clear at the top of the ladder following their 1-0 win over twelfth placed Dulwich Hill while second placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles had a 2-0 victory over eighth placed Sydney Wanderers.
PCYC Parramatta Eagles are third after they played out a scoreless draw with fourth placed Southern NSW and fifth placed Northern Tigers downed ninth placed Schofields Scorpions 2-0. Then, in a Round 16 catch-up match defeated the Scorpions sixth placed Spirit FC 4-0. Spirit, who are one point short of a top five spot, had beaten eleventh placed St George 4-3 on Saturday.
Central Coast Lightning are seventh and only two points outside the top five following their 2-1 win over tenth placed Granville Rage.
Grade 16
With a lead of six points at the top of the table and only one match to go, PCYC Parramatta Eagles have claimed the Premiership following their 2-0 win over sixth placed Southern NSW who are outside the top five by a single point. Second placed Northern Tigers registered a 4-0 victory over seventh placed Schofields Scorpions who lost by the same scoreline in a Round 16 catch-up match with eighth placed Spirit FC.
Spirit had beaten eleventh placed St George 6-1 on Saturday while third placed Dulwich Hill were 2-1 winners over twelfth placed Western Panthers.
Granville Rage are fourth following their 1-0 success over tenth placed Central Coast Lightning and Bonnyrigg White Eagles are fifth after they posted a 2-1 victory over ninth placed Sydney Wanderers.
Grade 18
Central Coast Lightning have already claimed the title as Premiers and they now lead the table by a margin of seven points after their 3-3 draw with seventh placed Granville Rage while second placed Northern Tigers had a 3-1 win over tenth placed Schofields Scorpions. The Scorpions played out a 1-1 draw with Spirit in a Round 16 catch-up match.
Western Panthers are in third position after they defeated sixth placed Dulwich Hill by the odd goal in five and fourth placed PCYC Parramatta Eagles produced a 1-0 result over ninth placed Southern NSW.
Sydney Wanderers are placed eighth after they were beaten 3-1 by eleventh placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles and fifth placed Spirit FC registered a 4-0 win over twelfth placed St George.
