Storms in Sydney force match postponement at Bonnyrigg

Their round three fixture against Sydney Olympic at Bonnyrigg Sports Club was over before it began on Saturday night, with torrential rain, surface flooding and lightning forcing officials to postpone the match.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles secretary George Mandic said the boys were disappointed not to get on the field.
“They were pumped for three points,” he said.
“The goal mouth drained pretty quickly but officials said they couldn’t allow the match to be played with the weather that bad.”
“There were hundreds of fans inside the ground and thousands inside the club who were looking forward to the match.”
