Six NSW players named in Australian Paralympic 7-a-side tournament

Ben Atkins, Brett Cross, Brett Fairhall, Pat Grant, Sam Larkings and Chris Pyne were all selected in Brown?s team.
The Australian team will be taking on England, Japan and Korea Republic in the four nation tournament. It will be the first time the Australian team has faced England since the 2007 CPISRA World Cup where England prevented Australia from qualifying for the 2008 Paralympics Games in China.
Australia’s first match is on 11 May against England at the Marrara Sporting Complex. The second match will be against Korea Republic the following day and then Japan on the Thursday. All of Australia’s games will be played at 6.30pm. Finals will be played on the Saturday (night) and Sunday (morning) to determine the Gold Medal winner.
David Barber has been named Captain for the tournament with Pyne being named Vice Captain.
Fifteen year old Jarrod Larkins-Law will be making his international debut at the tournament, whilst Atkins (17 years) and Thomas Goodman (18 years) will be appearing in their second international competition.
These players will look towards selection for the 2012 Paralympics in London.
