Phil Moss? view from the top Part 1

This week we start with Phil Moss of Manly United.
?Considering we have had so many injuries to key players this term (Robbie Cattanach, Craig Midgely, Ashley Ryan and Shaun Bowden to name but a few) it has been difficult to field my strongest eleven, especially as the injuries they have sustained are not serious but have taken longer to respond than first expected.
?However we have managed to come good, we are sitting second at time of writing, and the lads who have come in have handled themselves extremely well and we have coped better than expected.?

It?s one of those situations where any coach can only utter one solitary word to describe moments like this in a season: ?Frustrating.?
Moss has, wisely, brought in some extra experience in Spencer Prior and Matt Bingley: ?The pairing of Prior and Bingley with the knowledge they have has been invaluable and has added the steel we may have been otherwise lacking at the back.
?Scottie Thomas is another who has excelled but the standout so far has been the form of Joel Grenell.
?He has been in and out of the side but hasn?t let anyone down and one match in particular stands out, Marconi away.
?We were down to 10-men for most of the game but came away with a point and many feel it was a defining moment in our season and something we have been able to build on.?
So with an almost fit squad, what does Phil believe is a realistic prospect come Final?s time?
?We have been the team that has ?threatened? over the last 2-3 seasons and a Top Four finish would be OK but realistically I feel we are Top Three minimum and we seem to be finding some form and without any more hiccups it should be achievable but as always, nothing is guaranteed in this game.?
The side had to play Sydney United last Friday night and are away again to Sutherland Sharks this weekend at Seymour Shaw Park as two of the Telechoice Premier League Titans clash head-to-head in quick succession, so don?t miss it.
