State League Two Round 9 Review
On Saturday, Bathurst 75 picked up an impressive home win against first placed Gladesville Ryde Magic at Alec Lamberton Field. This was Gladesville?s first defeat of the 2009 season with the home-side scoring a valuable 4-2 win. Bathurst produced a spectacular performance and went out to a 4-0 lead after 61? minutes, the first goal scored by C. Adair in the 32? minute, followed by a G. Dowling goal just before the end of the half, in the 44? minute, to give the home side a 2-0 lead at the break.
The home-side struck again right after the break through M. Rooke in the 48? minute and again in the 61? minute through J. Christie. Gladesville pulled two back with Johnny Martinez scoring in the 64? minute and A. McKie producing a second 2? minutes later in the 66? minute.
The away side tried to make complete what would have been a miraculous comeback, however the home-side held on for what was their most impressive performance this season.
On Sunday afternoon Camden Tigers suffered a 1-0 home loss to Colo Colo at Ron Dine Reserve. The only goal was scored by E. Navarrete in the 60? minute giving the away side maximum points and a good run of confidence going into next week?s clash against White City. Camden will face off away to Hawkesbury next Saturday; the Tigers have been in a good state of form when on the road and will be hoping to turn around the result come next week.
