Football NSW launches inaugural “Football4all” Gala Day

Football4all embraces the interests and enthusiasm of all players with special needs and supports their endeavours in participating and enjoying the game of football.
Various games, skills and drills, as well as fun activities, food and beverages and Football4all show bags will be available to participants on the day free of charge.
Special guests in attendance include various Sydney FC players, the Australian deaf football team and recently crowned National Champions the NSW cerebral palsy football team.
With eight Football NSW special needs programs and clubs currently operating in Bankstown, Blacktown (Kings Langley), Nepean, Southern Districts, St Ives, Sutherland, West Pennant Hills ? Cherrybrook and  West Pymble and with the support of organisations including Illawarra Disability Trust, Special Olympics, NSW Cerebral Palsy Football, Deaf Football Australia and NSW Department of Sport & Recreation there is now more opportunity than ever for special needs players to experience the world game and follow their dreams.
Football NSW Risk Manager and State MPO Michelle Hanley is elated with the enthusiastic nature in which this initiative has been received by the general public.
?Football4all is the first of its kind at any level of football in Australia and this groundbreaking initiative is something we are very proud of and hope to continue for years to come? said Hanley.
?With the ongoing support of various special needs programs and clubs in NSW, we hope Football4all may set a precedent for a variety of State and National sporting organisations to do the same? Hanley added.
Football NSW CEO Michael Quarmby commends all the organisations, associations and teams involved in crafting such a wonderful event.

Football4all starts at 9am at Football NSW – Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood.
