Gladesville Ravens defeated Southern Districts, while Harbord Seasiders United won their way through with a fine win over Marayong Sports (Blacktown).
The Over 35 Semis saw All Saints United defeat Fairfield Colts in a penalty shoot-out and Collaroy Cromer Strikers defeated Marrickville.  In the Over 45 Semis it was St George triumphing over Chatswood Rangers while Gladesville Hornsby took care of Balmain.  These three semi finals were played early to allow players to compete in the Worlds Masters Games.
There were many highlights coming out of the Quarter Finals today, but none more than the magnificent effort of the Illawarra Juniors with nine teams progressing to the semi finals.  Central Coast still have four teams in the semis while from the Country, Shoalhaven Association proudly boast four teams coming to town for the semi finals, North Griffith All Age ladies and Orana Spurs (Dubbo) will also be making the trek to the metropolitan area.
The Wakehurst Club from Manly-Warringah have three teams (11-14-16 boys) as do the Balgownie Club (11-14-15 boys) and other clubs that have doubled up are Bossley Sports (12w ? 14w), Unanderrra (12b-18w), Culburra (14w-16w), Maroubra United (12b-18W), Milton Ulladullah (18m-AAw) and Lidcombe Waratahs (14-17 boys).
Football NSW congratulates all teams on reaching the semi finals of this most prestigious competition, which will be long remembered for two very good reasons.  The boys/men finals will be the last ever played at Valentine Sports Park when they are held on Sunday 25th October 2009 as we move out on our exciting journey which will see us at our spectacular new sporting complex at Riverstone.
The other of course, will be for the girls/womens finals which will be staged at the number one venue in the country, the former Olympic Stadium, the magnificent ANZ Stadium (courtesy of Coca Cola) on Saturday 24th October 2009.

Football NSW thanks all Associations for their assistance with venues throughout the 2009 Champion of Champions and in particular, for the upcoming semis which we thank the Bankstown, Granville & Southern Districts Associations.
