1GOAL in 2010

With only half of the 75 million children who live on the African continent having access to education, FIFA is partnering with governments and NGOs around the world to leave a legacy of education in Africa and elsewhere through the 1GOAL campaign – with the support of millions of football fans engaged in next year’s FIFA World Cup.
The Global Launch of 1GOAL will take place on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.  It involves Prime Minister Rudd, the UN Secretary General, Queen Rania of Jordan, Prime Minister Brown of the UK and other international leaders.
Ahead of this, the Australian launch will be held on Tuesday morning and media are invited to attend – and, as a participant in the 2010 FIFA World Cup – Football Federation Australia is a proud supporter of the 1GOAL campaign.
