108 teams converged on Penrith Regional Valley Sports Stadium for the junior boys and girls categories where teams played across six courts with some high quality Futsal displayed pushing the notion that the future is looking even brighter within the sport.
Top class action was evident throughout the course of both days with a number of exciting match-ups that will long live in the memory of many involved in the State Championships.
While at Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium, 92 teams took part in the senior side of the State Championships. Again there were some great Futsal match ups and some wonderful and breathtaking individual performances by the many players on hand.
Mascot Vipers had a brilliant weekend winning the under 15 boys over Sydney City Eagles, then went on to defeat Smokin? Aces (Sydney Benfica) in Youth Men.
Mascot made it three from three when the Open Men?s teams defeated Quake in an awesome come-from-behind victory.
Also at Hawkesbury Athletes with Disabilities were included for the first time where 6 teams took part which was an overwhelming success.
Football NSW Futsal would like to thank all the players, coaches and supporters who assisted in making this a special day for all involved as well as the sport.
Special mention must be made of the referees who officiated tirelessly over two long, grueling days.
