Football NSW wins Sports Safety Awards

Presented to Football NSW Risk Manager Michelle Hanley, the Silver awards were formal recognition of the work which has gone into two main risk management initiatives of Football NSW completed over the past 18 months.
SPORT SAFETY & EDUCATION ? State Level Silver Award
Initiative: Football NSW Working With Kids Seminar Series – A series of seminars conducted each year by Football NSW to educate elite youth coaches about duty of care and child protection
SAFE SPORT PRACTICES ? State Level Silver Award
Initiative: Football NSW Project Goal Alert – A twelve month 3 stage project which resulted in increased awareness of goalpost safety and all portable goalposts within Football NSW being labeled with specially designed UV rated safety stickers warning of the dangers of climbing and swinging on portable goalposts.
The awards also netted Football NSW a prize voucher worth $3000 in equipment which will also go towards making our sport even safer.
