West Sydney Berries snap up four recruits for 2010

John Calleja has snapped up former Sydney FC player Ryan Walsh, ex-Penrith Nepean United defender David Gardiner, former club striker Sash Tirovski and attacker Fadi Ghosson.
At  24, Walsh, a former Blacktown City and St George Saints player spent two months at Sydney FC in 2008 where he made his debut for the Sky Blues at the Pan-Pacific Championships in Hawaii against the Houston Dynamo. He then featured in the opening A-League game of the 2008/09 season against the Melbourne Victory.
Strapping centre back Gardiner spent a solid with Penrith Nepean United before joining the Berries for 2010.
Former club hero Tirovski returns to the club once more after a year exodus overseas while Ghosson was picked up after he spent the latter stages of season 2009 with the Bankstown City Lions.
All four players have been training and commenced pre-season with the club who have been busily preparing for the new year.
The club commenced its first trial match for 2010 when they defeated Victorian Premier League outfit South Melbourne 1-0 at Bob Jane Stadium with a goal to Tirovski.
The Berries are hoping to do one better for 2010 after they finished a credible sixth in the TeleChoice Premier League for 2009.
