Football kicks off in the Riverina for 2010

The aim of the weekend was to prepare players for the up and coming season at club and at representative levels.
Borabola is and ideal venue were players can train on excellent football fields and rest and recover in high quality accommodation. Players were able to recover with appropriate hydration and very good nutrition.
The coaching sessions were based on improving the technical, tactical, mental, and physical aspects of the players? development.
The day sessions involved 1 v 1 and 2 v 2 leading to small sided games and in the evening there were mini World Cup games for players to enjoy and compete in.
On Saturday afternoon there was more of a tactical aspect to the sessions with players gaining a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities in 4-3-3- formations.
A big thank you must go to Geoff Bush and the South West Slopes management for putting on a great weekend for the players and to the coaches from Football Riverina who helped coach the players.
During the course of the weekend, players were identified to represent Riverina in forthcoming tournaments that can lead to project 22 selection.
