2010 McDonald?s Cup Preliminary Rounds set for Wednesday

Formerly known as the ?Waratah Cup?, and ?TigerTurf Cup?, the 2010 version which is now proudly sponsored by McDonalds brings together clubs from all parts of NSW from Association, State League 1, State League 2, Super League and NSW Premier League competitions.
22 matches will take place in the Preliminary round of the 2010 McDonald?s Cup with a number of mouth-watering clashes set to take place at pitches across NSW.
Four State League 2 teams will be involved in this round with newly promoted Belmore Hercules taking on Bankstown Association?s Bankstown Sports Strikers at Crest while Springwood tackle Nepean Association?s Jamisontown Football Club, Eastern Suburbs Association?s Waverly Old Boys take on State League Two side Hurstville City Minotaurs and finally another new State League 2 outfit Fairfield Wanderers take on Sutherland Shire Association?s Bangor Juniors.
Cromer Park will stage an exciting double header as two Manly Warringah Association clubs meet two Ku-Ring-Gai Association clubs in what will be an exciting affair for the four teams involved. Collaroy Cromer tackle West Pymble while Mosman take on Northside Monash.
2009 Champion of Champion winners Yagoona Lions from the Bankstown Association have a chance to strut their stuff in the prestigious McDonald?s Cup when they take on Granville Association?s Auburn Sports at Progress Park.
The winners of the Preliminary rounds will progress to Round 1 where they will take on a further 21 teams awaiting their fate in the McDonalds Cup with two Illawarra Premier League clubs in Bulli and Dandaloo coming into the fray.
Round 2 will see State League One and Super League clubs enter the competition while round 3 will see the inclusion of the NSW Premier League sides.
