In Group A NSW Metropolitan 1 claimed the title after being awarded enough Technical Performance Points to leapfrog fellow contenders Victoria Metropolitan despite losing the final match of the tournament to their rivals by 1-2. Christopher Zuvela gave NSW Metropolitan 1 the lead after only three minutes and it was an advantage they held until a minute after half-time. Anthony Dazel levelled for the Victorians before Adrian Vuniqi won the match with two minutes to spare.
A hat-trick from Jacob Tarasenko gave Northern NSW a great end to the competition as they confidently beat Western Australia 3-0. Tarasenko?s treble took his National Juniors tally to five and gave him a share of the leading goal scorer spot with NSW Metropolitan 1?s Bai Antoniou. Tarasenko later bagged the only goal in the Group A All-Stars 1-0 win over NSW Metropolitan 1 in the afternoon exhibition fixture.
In the other Group A match Queensland and South Australia shared a 1-1 draw with Lee Child equalising for South Australia after Dakota Askew?s goal had given Queensland a thirteenth minute lead. The point was South Australia?s second of the three-day championships.
In Group B, NSW Metropolitan 2 confirmed their status as the class acts of the field winning their fifth match in succession with a 1-0 win over NSW Country, Lachlan Roberts striking the 21st minute winner. Home town ACT couldn?t raise their game to finish with a win as a Michael Holden double helped Tasmania to a 4-1 victory whilst Lachlan Beever was also on target twice in Victoria Country?s 4-0 whitewash of Northern Territory, Thomas Fuller and Henri Scott completed the win.
