The likes of Robbie Cattanach, Craig Midgley, Joey Schirripa, Keith Shevlin, Brad Swancott and Adam Foti have all been getting regular game time after recovering from several pre-season issues and Moss said he is seeing more and more from them each week.
?It?s no secret we had a very, very tough pre-season this year in that we couldn?t get our full squad training together at any stage,? Moss said.
?That ensures you are chasing your tail for a while until boys get regular game time and are able to back up week in week out.
?The likes of ?Catto?, ?Midge? and Joey in particular did it tough early in the season but they are giving us a little bit more on a weekly basis now which is great.
?Cattanach has scored two goals in his last four games and I?m confident his increased fitness levels and sharpness will lead him to more of them in the coming weeks.
?Everyone associated with Manly United loves nothing more than the big games and they don?t come any bigger at this level than Marconi so I know the players will be ready and I?m tipping the senior players in particular to have a fair bit to say on Sunday.?
Last week?s away draw (1-1) with Bonnyrigg – marred by a serious injury to White Eagles ?keeper Phil Zabaks ? has given the Northern Beaches outfit plenty of confidence moving forward.
?Our second half in particular was very encouraging,? Moss said.
?It?s a difficult place to go to and the atmosphere can be intimidating but guys like Cattanach, Pascal Julliard, Shaun Bowden and Jimmy Oates in particular were outstanding. Roberto Hamad, too, was battered from pillar to post and put in a great 90-minute shift.
?We need to build on that now and show some consistency and we are more than capable of putting together a run of wins to climb back into the top four.?
Moss said he always enjoyed locking horns tactically with experienced Stallions coach Lee Sterrey.
?He has been around a long time and coached at various levels and always gets the best out of his players ? particularly his young players,? Moss said.
?There is always a tactical battle with Lee and I enjoy the challenge. We both like our teams to play football and don?t mind tinkering with our systems so Sunday should be a great game of football.
?We had our spies out there watching last week?s game and from all reports Marconi are playing well and have some new players in their run-on side making a name for themselves at this level.
?We?ll have to be wary of them because they have quality all over the park and the likes of Arrarte, Nunes, Gordon and Anabalon can hurt you if you switch off.
?I know my players can?t wait for game time and they have trained strongly all week in preparation for this one.?
Sunday?s match at Cromer Park kicks off at 3pm, following the Grade 20s at 1pm.
The club?s NSW Premier Youth League sides will be in action against Marconi all day Saturday at Cromer Park.
