Football4all gave children and young people with a disability or special need the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful day of football with family and friends at no expense.
It was a carnival like atmosphere as competitions from various age groups, as well as skills, drills and other fun activities took place at Football NSW?s Headquarters.
Teams such as Freeman Sports Club (Abbostbury), Lightning Bolts (Bankstown), St Michaels Knights SC (Baulkham Hills), ESFA White Knights (Eastern Suburbs), Illawarra, Super Soccer (Kellyville), Open Goals (Kings Langley), Soccer Dragons (Nepean), St Ives FC (St Ives), Sutherland Titans FC (Sutherland), West Pennant Hills-Cherrybrook and West Pymble SC all participated in the 2010 Football4all gala day.
Special guests from Sydney FC; Ivan Necevski and Terry McFlynn, Central Coast Mariners; Matthew Ryan, Mustafa Amini, Matthew Lewis and Phil Moss, The NSW Thunder, and recently crowned National Champions NSW Paralympic 7-A-side team were on hand during the event, assisting with the overall promotion of such an innovative and proactive initiative.
Football NSW?s award winning television program Football Stars of Tomorrow  were on site shooting the magnificent event which is set to feature in an up and coming episode as well as various print journalists who also attended the marquee event.
Football NSW Risk Manager and State MPO Michelle Hanley was delighted with the day?s proceedings which brought much joy to the many involved.
?It brought a smile to my face to have seen so many happy participants take part in the second Football4all Gala Day at Valentine Sports Park.
?Football4all brought together a congregation of aspiring individuals which too share the passion for football as much as we do and I was overjoyed to have seen everyone appreciate the event.?
Football NSW CEO Michael Quarmby was equally as impressed and compelled by the event and echoed his thoughts on the tremendous event.
?I want to commend all the organisations, associations and teams involved in today?s wonderful occasion.
?Football NSW is proud to have instigated such a ground-breaking event and I sincerely hope various State and National sporting bodies follow in the footsteps of our organisation.
?It?s now been running two years in a row and is going from strength to strength, I want to congratulate everyone who participated in the event and of course thank all the volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible.?
All participants received a show-bag and medal and there were also three awards given out on the day for the best represented program, best supported and finally best sportsmanship.
Football NSW wishes to thank all the clubs, associations and staff who were involved in making the day such a success and would like to especially congratulate all the participants, coaches and family members for their inspirational support for Footbal4all Gala Day.
