Newcastle Jets too good for Rockdale City Suns
Goals to Nikolai Topor-Stanley, Sean Rooney, Ali Abbas and Marko Jesic were enough to see Branko Culina?s men prevail over Mile Todoroski?s squad.
After the match, Culina stated that he was content with the performance of his team.
?It was alright, we did enough, I am happy to see us playing with a bit more tempo but once we got two or three in front bit was a bit easy.
“We still have a lot of improvement left, the positive is that we trialled two different formations and everybody got some game time. That is important because there are still positions up for grabs and it is important that we played the two formations,? he told the Newcastle Jets website.
The Suns however had one mind on this weekend?s round 22 clash against the Sutherland Sharks at the same venue on Sunday as a victory over last season?s NSW Premier League Champions and a possible slip-up by the Marconi Stallions who entertain Sydney Olympic on the same day could open the door for a finals series finish for the former Super League Premiers.
