Division One Youth League Round 2 Review

It is a tribute to the clubs that so many matches were actually played on Saturday.
Every venue started on Saturday as planned but the Gladesville Ryde Magic v Northbridge fixture lasted only two matches while the Inter Lions v St George fixture survived for four matches. All the postponed games will be rescheduled shortly.
Scheduled for Sunday, the encounter between Hakoah and Hurstville City Minotaurs was washed out and it will be rescheduled.
Club Championship
Stanmore Hawks would have been very pleased with the thirteen points they pocketed from their home clash with Nepean while Springwood United had a very good day when they bagged a dozen points from their visit to Balmain East Tigers.
Southern Branch may have been pleased with the nine points they earned from their trip to Hills Brumbies while Gladesville Ryde Magic and Northbridge shared the spoils at three points each from the two matches played.
Camden Tigers were said to be ecstatic with the ten points they grabbed from their visit to Mt Druitt Town Rangers and St George took all twelve points from the four matches they played at Inter Lions.
Grade 13
Stanmore Hawks posted their second draw of the season when their clash with first-up winners Nepean ended at 1-1 while Springwood United came up with a win by the odd goal in five over Balmain East Tigers after both teams had suffered first round losses.
Southern Branch bounced back from last week?s loss to post a 7-2 victory over Hills Brumbies who had also lost their first match.
Gladesville Ryde Magic collected maximum points for the second week in a row when they were 3-0 winners over Northbridge who were coming off a first round draw. Magic struck with two first half goals, counterattacking after Northbridge?s forward moves broke down. Both side made a number of chances in each half although Magic?s win looked increasingly secure as the game reached its conclusion.
Camden Tigers posted their second win of this campaign when they produced a 4-2 result from their encounter with Mt Druitt Town Rangers who had won their first game. Scoring goals for the Tigers this week were  Brad Rockliff, Matt Bezzett, Ben Phair and Lachlan Rixon. 
St George added to last week?s draw with a very handy 4-0 success over Inter Lions who were suffering their second loss.
Grade 14
After posting a draw last week Stanmore Hawks recorded a very impressive 9-0 result when they faced Nepean who were also coming off an opening day victory.
Balmain East Tigers followed up last week?s draw with a 1-0 victory over Springwood United who were suffering a second loss while Southern Branch earned their first points for the season with a 3-1 success over Hills Brumbies who had lost their first outing.
Northbridge recovered from a first-up loss to register a 2-1 win over Gladesville Ryde Magic who were winners last week and Camden Tigers added to last week?s draw with a 2-0 success over Mt Druitt Town Rangers who were coming off an opening day win. Camden?s goals came from Liam Ross and Ante Kolanovic.
St George took maximum points for the second time when they accounted for Inter Lions with a 3-0 scoreline. Inter had secured a draw last week.
Grade 15
Following up on their first round draw Stanmore Hawks recorded a stunning 7-1 result over Nepean who had lost last week while Springwood United also followed a draw with this week?s 1-0 victory over Balmain East Tigers were winners at their last outing.
Southern Branch bagged the maximum points for the second week in row with a 3-0 result over Hills Brumbies who are yet to collect their first point and Mt Druitt Town Rangers added to last week?s draw with a 2-1 win over Camden Tigers who had won last week?s match. The scorer for the Tigers was Alex Popovic
St George took their tally to six points from two matches when they produced a 2-0 result over Inter Lions who were suffering their second loss.
Grade 16
Stanmore Hawks posted their second big win of the season when they were 4-1 victors over Nepean who are yet to collect their first point while Springwood United also kept their perfect record intact with a 2-0 success over first-up winners Balmain East Tigers.
Hills Brumbies followed a first-up draw with a 3-1 victory over Southern Branch who were coming off a last game loss while Mt Druitt Town Rangers and Camden Tigers battled out a 1-1 draw after both teams had suffered first round losses.
St George earned their first points with a 2-0 win over Inter Lions who had won last week.
Grade 18
Stanmore Hawks made it two wins from as many games when they were 3-0 winners over Nepean who had won last week and Springwood United remained unbeaten with a very solid 5-0 win over Balmain East Tigers who are yet to earn a point.
Hills Brumbies added to a last match draw by producing a stunning 11-0 win over Southern Branch who also suffered a big loss last week while Camden Tigers rebounded from a last game loss to win 4-0 over Mt Druitt Town Rangers who were coming off a draw. Providing the goals for Camden were Ben Knoble, Jordan Hooke, John McPhillips 2 (1 x pen.)
