Hurstville City Minotaurs juniors finally find their home

After two years of locating a ground within the Hurstville City area, the Minotaurs struck gold when Beverly Hills Park became available to them.
It was a momentous day for many involved at the club but none more so than ?The General? Peter Sarikakis who was delighted to have finally secured a home ground for his club?s future talented prospects.
?It?s  been a very tough period these past two seasons in getting a ground for our youth sides but I am pleased to have seen it all work out for the better on Saturday with the opening of Beverly Hills Park for all our home matches.
?All our juniors played all their matches away from the area but the time has come via this new ground for us.
?It will become a place for the future stars from the Hurstville City area to be able to train and play out at.
?It was a colourful day full of emotion and promise for the future.
?Even though Beverly Hills Park is not Wembley Stadium or the Maracana, we can build a future for our youth on what we have.
?I would like to take this opportunity to thank Football NSW for making the effort to be present and witness in person what we are trying to do for the game and the young players in our area.?
Having been involved with the club since 1985, Sarikakis, a former Charles Valentine Medal winner, was also appreciative of the support he received from the Hurstville City Council.
?I would like to thank the Hurstville City Council in particular Councillor Vince Badalati who came down on the day and officially cut the ribbon to our new home.?
