Dave leaves behind his wife Hilly, son and daughter William and Nicole, four grandchildren with a fifth on the way.
Dave passed away on Friday afternoon after a long battle with cancer and the last time he was at Popondetta Park was just two weeks ago as he was determined to beat his disease to the end.
The service for Dave will be held on Friday 15th at 10.30am at Leppington Lawn Cemetery- Camden Valley Way, Leppington.
Football NSW would also like to pass its deepest condolences to the Higson family.
