Super Youth League Rounds 8 and 9 Review

PCYC_79

In fact, it was miraculous that so many games were played on the weekend considering that the Weather Bureau announced that Saturday was the wettest Sydney day for eight years!
When this latest disruption is combined with the fact that most of the Round 6 matches were lost to the weather, it is little wonder that competition secretary Luke Cevolani may be having major headaches in helping the clubs to fit the missing games into their schedules.
Of course, it will all work out in the end but the competition tables will be all over the place in the meantime. After all, no team has played the full schedule of matches and some of them have up to three matches to catch up.
The washed out fixtures on Tuesday were Fraser Park v Sydney University, Spirit FC v Western NSW Panthers, Northern Tigers v Blacktown Spartans and the Skillaroos v Central Coast and they will be rescheduled in the very near future.
Saturday?s washed out fixtures were Dulwich Hill v Fraser Park, Granville Rage v Northern Tigers, Mounties Wanderers v Central Coast and Schofields Scorpions v the Skillaroos and there will be some rescheduling announced shortly.
Club Championship
Spirit FC have retained the lead on this table by a margin of nineteen points after their Tuesday clash with Western NSW Panthers was washed out and then they collected  only six points from their Saturday matches against fourth placed Sydney University who had been washed out on Tuesday.
