Central Coast to take on Mariners for for the Cancer Council?s Call to Arms Campaign

am

The match will be played on Monday 13 June ? the Monday of the long weekend ? at Pluim Park, Lisarow, with proceeds on the day going to the Cancer Council?s Call to Arms Campaign.
Last years game saw the Mariners finish as clear winners but with Central Coast FC currently positioned in the top half of the NSW Super League this promises to be a tighter contest.
The Mariners will use the game as a warm up for their forthcoming fixture against Scottish powerhouse Celtic FC at ANZ Stadium on Saturday 2 July.
Central Coast Mariners mentor, Graham Arnold, said the match would provide a timely test for his side at the one-month mark of their preseason campaign.
Central Coast FC coach, Peter Preston, expects his players to perform well after a great start to season 2011, with the team remaining unbeaten at Pluim Park in all their Super League games thus far.
Louie Bozanic, younger brother of Mariners Olyroos star Oliver Bozanic, will line up for Central Coast FC. Depending on Oliver?s National Team commitments, the pair may well face off in a bid for family bragging rights.
The curtain raiser to the main game will be the annual North v South Premier League Challenge kicking off at 2pm.
Coached by Stuart Davis, North will be represented by players from Berkeley Vale, Budgewoi, Kanwal, Killarney District and Wyong Premier League clubs.
South will be selected from players from The Entrance, Umina, East Gosford, Wyoming and Kincumber, and will be mentored by Chris Powell.
Gates will open at 1pm with full bar and canteen facilities available. Entry will be $10 for adults, and $5 for concession and students.  Kids under 16 will be permitted free entry.
