David had a stellar first season with the ?Blues? in 2010-11,with many clubs both domestic and abroad eager to sign the talented young winger. Despite interest from several clubs, David opted to remain at Sydney Olympic FC for another season.
Phillip Makrys will also remain with the ?Blues? for the 2012 season after a sensational 2011 season, Makrys made 17 appearances for the ?Blues? in the 2011 season and netted 7 goals, 5 of which he converted from the penalty spot.
Both David Gullo and Phillip Makrys are looking forward to the forthcoming 2012 season and hope to replicate the success from the 2011 season once again in the upcoming season, in an attempt to win ?back to back? titles and claim the ?double? yet again for their passionate supporters.
Gullo and Makrys will join the rest of the Sydney Olympic FC squad for their first Pre-Season hit out on December 11th 2011, when South Melbourne FC hosts the club in an Exhibition Match at the newly renovated Lakeside Stadium.
The Board of Sydney Olympic FC would like to wish both David Gullo and Phillip Makrys the best of luck in the 2012 season and are confident that both men will meet the expectations of the entire Sydney Olympic Football Club.
