West City FC soaring for 2012

Our current status will provide the ideal pathway for Football players within the club and the region with combined efforts of Former Socceroo Marshall Soper and Head Coach Danny Abboud.
Soper has been affiliated with West City FC for some time working intensively with different aspects of Football and providing support from his experience and playing achievements.
West City FC has adopted a new initiative in appointing Danny Abboud as the Head Coach for the First Team and David Morris as the Second Grade Head Coach.
Danny will also assist with the individual player performances and devolvement of all players and the focus on building for the future. Danny is highly qualified with a current AFC/FFA A licences and has been contributing to Football for over 29 years at all levels including, Football New South Wales Player Pathways, Coach Education and Development, New South Wales Institute of Sport intensive Player Development and Senior Instructor with the FFA.
West City FC Football Board and President Scott Gilhooly are also in great support of the current invitation that Danny has exclusively received from one of the great EPL Football Clubs in the UK. Everton Football Club has just hosted Danny with an international cast of coaches in a master Class Coaching & Education Program.
The Master Class ran for ten consecutive days during December 2011. Gilhooly expressed his great support in Danny furthering his Coaching Knowledge and Education.  ?This is a fantastic opportunity and a privilege for both, West City FC and Danny. Where the investment in Danny?s personal Development and our Future? Gilhooly added. Everton is regarded one of the best Developing Clubs competing in the EPL with great influences in current Academy Development and Coaching facilities.
This particular invitation to the Everton Master Class will record Danny?s second exclusive invitation in taking part with Everton?s International Relations and interest in selected Australian Coaches.
This fantastic experience has provided Danny with first class Education in Player Recruitment & effectiveness, Player Physical and Fitness attributes and its importance, lectures in Data Analysis, Player Management, Youth and Senior Teams Objectives and planning, Practical Training Sessions and Academy Development for all age groups and much more. Danny has been known to embark on many Football Philosophies, Modern Methodologies and various European styles in Coaching.
Ray Hall the, Academy Ambassador hosted this event along with Paul Harris, Head Coach for International Football & Development. Danny had the pleasure of working with Paul during the 2010 Coaching stint at Everton?s Academy at Finch Farm in the UK where Danny has described it as a, ?Once in a life time opportunity and experience?.
Gilhooly stated that ?this experience will be, extremely beneficial to our club, the Team and our future youth, including the short and long term planning and success that we all desire?.
