State League One Round 12 Preview

One of the matches scheduled for 3-00pm on Saturday is the clash at Ernie Smith Reserve where Southern Bulls host Stanmore Hawks.
The Bulls find themselves right back in the mix following their 4-2 home triumph over UNSW last Sunday, with Rafid Hermiz and Baturay Akin leading the attack, and are currently sitting fourth on the ladder on 15 points. Youngster Abdul Al-Nakeeb will be pushing for a starting berth following his match winning two goal effort off the bench last week.
Northbridge FC scored half a dozen on their last outing, but will be happy with one goal against Balmain SC at Hills Sports High on Saturday afternoon if t means another three points. Michael Cole is the man of the moment, having scored four goals last weekend, and will look to add to his tally of 7 goals in 2012 in this clash.
The final match on Saturday, kicking off at 7-00pm at Ron Dine Reserve, is Camden Tigers against Mt Druitt Town Rangers.
Camden are one of the sides with two games in hand, and could climb into the top five with victories ? and six points ? in their postponed clashes. The Tigers will be out to prove they can match it with the high flying Mt Druitt Town, who won for the first time in three weeks last week following their 3-1 win over Inter Lions last Saturday.
The Rangers won their first round clash with a last minute winner from Shane Ardle, so expect another tight tussle in this one.
Retribution is a wonderful thing in football, and for Fairfield City Lions, they have an opportunity to exact revenge on UNSW at Norford Park on Sunday afternoon. UNSW gave the Lions a 6-2 pasting last Thursday in a Round One rescheduled clash, with a five goal haul from Henry Kamleitner, so the wounds are still fresh in the minds of the Fairfield City players. The victory for ?the students? is a result which sees them sitting in second position on the ladder, and one they will wish to hold onto leading into the second round of matches.
Hurstville ZFC entertain Schofields Scorpions on Sunday at Hurstville Oval, looking to bury the demons of their last home match, a 0-6 loss to Northbridge, which sees them occupying the bottom rung of the competition ladder. The Scorpions will be happy enough just to get on the park given they had last weekend off due to the rain.
In the round?s final match, Inter Lions make the short trek to Magdala Park to tackle league leaders, Gladesville Ryde Magic.
Magic have not been victorious for the best part of a month now, yet still lead the competition by 4 points based on their superb start to the season. Inter Lions came unstuck last week for the first time since he opening day of the season, against the Magic, and will be out to make amends for that reverse come Sunday afternoon.
