Sutherland Sharks to meet APIA Leichhardt Tigers in 2012 Waratah Cup Final
The Sutherland Sharks ended Illawarra Premier League champions Dapto Dandaloo Fury?s reign with a 2-1 victory at Seymour Shaw Park. David Reid gave the visitors the early lead but Chris Price equalised before Matthew Bailey scored what was the winner after a howler from an otherwise outstanding Mitchell Blowes under the sticks to put the Shire side in the Final.
While at Lambert Park, the APIA Leichhardt Tigers defeated Super League side Bankstown Berries 2-1 with Franco Parisi scoring first before Kodjo Adjassou struck for the visitors early in the second half. It was an Adam Casey penalty that all but separated the match as John Turner?s men won the right to play the Sharks in the final.
