Skilleroos U14’s squad end season on a high
The squad follows the introduction of the Skilleroos U12s program in 2011.
There are currently Skilleroos squads in U12s, U13s and U14s playing up an age group in NSW competitions.
The U14 squad finished their season last weekend and they received numerous plaudits throughout the season for their positive style of play. Having been trained in accordance with the National Curriculum, it is very pleasing to see the development of the boys in this squad.
Ante Juric coached the side at the start of the season, before taking on the role of Head Coach of the NSW Institute of Sport?s men?s program following the departure of Ian Crook to Sydney FC.
Oscar Gonzalez have been the caretaker coach for the past four weeks. Whilst Oscar has been presenting the AFC C License course at Valentine Sports Park, the Technical Director Alex Tobin has taken the squad for the last two weekend matches.
The boys finished a highly credible 9th place in the U15 competition, keeping in mind that many of these boys are 13 or 14 years old.
