hummel F-League 2013 Draws Released
Football NSW has officially released the draws for the 2013 hummel F-League season which will also feature for the first time, a Women’s competition.
The men’s competition will feature eight (8) teams kicking off in early June 2013 as well as the introduction of a eight (8) team women’s hummel F-League competition.
For the men, NSW based clubs Dural Warriors, East Coast Heat and the newly formed Sydney Scorpions will do battle against ACT side Boomerangs FS and Victorian clubs Vic Vipers, St Albans Strikers, Melbourne Heart and Jaguars Futbol Sala Club.
For the women, the NSW contingent of Dural Warriors, Sydney Scorpions and Parramatta Blues will take on ACT side Boomerangs FS and Victorian clubs Melbourne Heart and VIC Vipers as well as Queensland side South Brisbane FC.
Established in 2011, the hummel F-League was born a six (6) team competition with clubs from ACT, NSW and Victoria participating across three weekends on the east coast of Australia.
The hummel F-League has proved to be a breeding ground for members of the Australian National Team, the Futsalroos, with 13 of the 16 squad members that competed in the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup coming from hummel F-League clubs.
Dural Warriors took out the 2012 hummel F-League Premiership and won qualification to the up and coming AFC Futsal Club Championships set to be held in Malaysia on the 9th of April.
