State League One Round Four Preview

Given we had somewhat of a ‘split’ round last weekend with three matches postponed, some teams will obviously be keen to hit the paddock and stretch their legs as we approach Round 4 of the State League One competition this Saturday and Sunday.
Two sides on the end of defeats last Saturday will be hoping for better fortunes this Saturday afternoon, when Western NSW Mariners welcome Northbridge FC to the Glen Willow Stadium at Mudgee.
The Mariners haven’t anything to show for their two home matches this year, and will be keen to put that right against a Northbridge side who will be licking their wounds after coming back to earth with a bump against the Hawks last week.
Early season pacesetters, Prospect United, will host Balmain Tigers on Saturday at William Lawson Park in what promises to be an intriguing match up.
Prospect have had a great start to the season, with 7 points from 9 and have yet to concede a goal. In Chris Camilleri and Gustavo Orcajo they possess two players with strong creative ability, and Balmain will do well to prepare for an onslaught of sorts as the home side look to maintain their position at the summit.
A real arm wrestle is looming at Magdala Park on Sunday afternoon when Gladesville Ryde Magic meet Granville Rage at 3-00pm.
Both sides have yet to taste defeat this season, and are reasonably evenly matched, the Magic always a force at home and the Rage starting to find their feet after their first three points last weekend.
In the three remaining matches of Round 4, Camden Tigers will be hoping to move away from the base of the ladder but will have their work cut out against Wally Savor’s high scoring Dulwich Hill, Hakoah Sydney City East welcome Hawkesbury City to Hensley Athletic Field needing to win to climb back into the top half of the ladder, and Inter Lions will be searching for the maiden win of the season when they tackle Nepean in the late Sunday evening kick off.
(all matches may be subjected to late changes, so please refer to the Football NSW website prior to the match to confirm kick off times)
