A Football NSW initiative introduced in 2009, the Football4all Gala Day aims to give people with a disability or special needs an avenue to enjoy a wonderful day of football with family and friends.

Football NSW CEO Eddie Moore is proud of the ongoing development of the Football4all initiative and is eagerly anticipating a successful Football4all Gala Day this Sunday.

“Football NSW is delighted to have developed such an initiative and we are committed to the ongoing growth and development of our established and new special needs football programs. Year upon year, Football4all continues to grow in numbers which typifies the important role it plays in our wonderful game in a fun filled environment.”

NOVA Employment has thrown its support behind the Gala day for the second successive year by assisting with recruiting volunteers on the day. NOVA Employment operate a number of programs which include the Disability Employment Service (DES), a registered training organisation (NOVA Training) and ‘Transition to Work’ – a New South Wales Government initiative.

NOVA Employment CEO Martin Wren was eagerly anticipating this year’s Football4all Gala Day and stressed the importance of the event leaving a long lasting impression on the participants involved on the day.

“We are 100% behind this fantastic initiative Football NSW has once again put forward. We are all looking forward to what will be a special day for everyone, which I am sure will leave long lasting memories to all the participants involved.”

Powerchair Football will be making its debut at this year’s event. It is one of the fastest growing sports for powered wheelchair users around the globe and it will be on display as numerous teams will compete as well as opportunities given to new players wishing to be part of this amazing spectacle.

The Australian Paralympic Committee will also be present looking at local talent for any aspiring Paralympic athletes.

Small sided games have been organised for the participants along with football drills and games provided throughout the day with a presence from both the Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers who will have players signing autographs and taking part in what will be a fun filled day for all participants involved.

Additionally, Football4all coincides with Football Federation Australia’s (FFA) Disability Football Month (June), aimed at assisting with the promotion and development of football across all levels and abilities.
