Saturday’s games produced one or two surprises and that caused some changes to the appearance of the various tables and it seems certain that we will be kept guessing until the last matches of the final round have been played.

Supa IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 2 – Club Championship

Sydney University had earned fourteen of the first round points when they met Macarthur Rams and this weekend Uni added twelve points to their tally from the return matches.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers had secured thirteen points from their first round meeting with Hills Brumbies but, with only four games played between the clubs over the weekend, the Rangers had to settle for only nine points this time around.

Spirit FC and Bankstown Berries had split the first round points at nine apiece but it was a different story this time when the Berries bagged thirteen points from the fixture.

Mounties Wanderers took twelve points from their first round matches against Fraser Park but the rain washed out all but one of the games scheduled for the weekend and those points went to Fraser Park.

Parramatta FC grabbed a dozen points from their first round encounter with Northern Tigers but this time the Tigers secured twelve points from the only four matches played.

St George pocketed thirteen points last time they saw Bankstown City Lions but this time the Lions snatched nine points from the four matches that could be played.

Sydney University came into this round as the leaders on this table by a single point and they were able to maintain both the lead and that margin after they earned ten points from this week’s encounter with Macarthur Rams who have slipped back one place to tenth. Uni had taken eight points from the first round clash.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers were in second position when the weekend began and they had secured nine points from their first round clash with Hills Brumbies and the Rangers repeated the dose this week when they took nine points from the return matches. That outcome has pushed the Brumbies back one place to fourth.

Spirit FC climbed one place to third even though they could earn only four points from their meeting with Bankstown Berries who used their seven points to move up from seventh to fifth. In the first round Spirit had claimed nine points from the fixture.

Mounties Wanderers and Fraser Park had shared the first round points at six apiece but this time Fraser Park collected the three points from the only match played on Saturday. That has caused the Wanderers to drop from fifth to seventh while Fraser Park have remained at eighth.

 

St George started and ended the day in sixth spot even though they claimed only three points from their matches against eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions. Last time the clubs met, the Saints took seven points from the day.

When ninth placed Northern Tigers faced twelfth placed Parramatta FC in the first round the clubs took six points each from the day but on this occasion the Tigers bagged all twelve of the available points.

Sydney University held onto their place at the top of the tables after they battled out a scoreless draw with tenth placed Macarthur Rams who had lost the first round match 5-1.

Hills Brumbies were 1-0 winners last time they saw Mt Druitt Town Rangers and they completed the double when they once again posted a 1-0 scoreline, a result that has kept the Brumbies in second place and forced the Rangers back one place to sixth.

Third placed Spirit FC had taken the first round points with a 2-0 win over ninth placed Bankstown Berries and Spirit repeated the dose when they registered a 2-1 result on Saturday with all the goals coming in the second half. .

St George remained at fourth thanks to a 3-0 victory over eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions who had gone down 6-0 last time they faced the Saints. This week the goals for the Saints came from B. Panagiotakis (2) and H. Jomaa.

Northern Tigers moved up one place to fifth when they recorded a 7-1 success over twelfth placed Parramatta FC thanks to goals from E. Blackwood (2), H. Gleeson, O. Scott, M. Symons, E. Heydari and J. Solan. The Tigers had taken the first round points with a 4-1 result.

Seventh placed Fraser Park accounted for eighth placed Mounties Wanderers with a 1-0 scoreline this week and that gave Fraser Park the double as they had won the first round clash 3-0.

Bankstown Berries are still the competition frontrunners after they produced a 2-0 victory over sixth placed Spirit FC who had gone down 3-0 when the teams faced each other in the first round.

Mounties Wanderers slipped back one place to third when their match against Fraser Park was washed out at half-time with the Wanderers leading 1-0.

In a Round 10 catch-up Match Fraser Park and Mt Druitt Town Rangers fought out a scoreless draw. Fraser Park have dropped back one place to eleventh.

The Rangers climbed one place to second when they came up with a 3-0 success over Hills Brumbies and that was a perfect match for the 3-0 scoreline the Rangers had posted in the first round. This result has left the Brumbies in seventh position.

Macarthur Rams fell back one place to fifth when they suffered a 4-1 loss to Sydney University who took the reverse route from fifth to fourth. When they met last time, the match ended in a 1-1 draw. The goals for Uni came from B. Barataud, J. Gannon, C. Sinacori and C. Peters while J. Starr found the net for the Rams.

St George remained at eighth despite suffering a 1-0 loss to twelfth placed Bankstown City Lions. The first round clash was locked at 0-0 when the final whistle sounded. The winning goal came from a strike by K. Karaspyros.

Northern Tigers climbed one place to tenth thanks to a 4-0 victory over ninth placed Parramatta FC who were 4-1 winners when they teams met in the first round. The scorers for the Tigers were M. Dobson (2), J. Cairelli and L. Zanko.

Sydney University are still sitting in second spot after they produced a 3-0 victory over twelfth placed Macarthur Rams. When the teams met in the first round the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Scoring the goals for Uni this week were R. Mcdonald, J. Makridopolus and S. Massis-Lee.

Fraser Park are still in third position after their match against fifth placed Mounties Wanderers was washed out.

Bankstown City Lions retained sixth spot when they posted a 2-1 success over St George who have slipped back two places to tenth. That completes the double for the Lions as they were 3-0 winners in the first round.

Bankstown Berries climbed two places up the table to seventh when they registered a 4-1 win over Spirit FC who have fallen from seventh to ninth. That reverses the first round outcome when Spirit were 1-0 winners.

Northern Tigers had beaten Parramatta FC 3-1 when they met last time around and this week the Tigers completed the double with a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from M. Mizzau. The Tigers have jumped two places up the ladder to eighth and Parramatta have remained at eleventh.

Spirit FC are still third after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bankstown Berries who have slipped back one place to eleventh. Spirit had claimed all the first round points with a 1-0 win.

Fifth placed St George suffered a 3-2 loss to Bankstown City Lions who have jumped from eleventh to ninth as a result. This result squared the ledger as the Saints were 3-2 winners last time around.

Fraser Park are still in sixth spot after their match against seventh placed Mounties Wanderers was washed out.

Northern Tigers remained in eighth position following their 5-0 victory over twelfth placed Parramatta FC, reversing the first round outcome when Parramatta had claimed the points with a 3-1 scoreline. The goals for the Tigers were scored by  S. Malone (3), B. Bradford and D. Vinson.

Parramatta FC retained second spot after their match with fifth placed Northern Tigers was also a victim of the rain on Sunday.

Bankstown Berries climbed one place up the ladder to third thanks to a 2-0 success over Spirit FC who have taken the reverse route from second to third. This result completes the double as the Berries were 3-2 winners in the first round

Mt Druitt Town Rangers are still the competition leaders after their clash with ninth placed Hills Brumbies was washed out.

Mounties Wanderers held onto second spot following the wash-out of their match against Fraser Park who have slipped back one place to seventh.

Sydney University climbed one place to third thanks to a 1-1 draw with Macarthur Rams who have moved up one place to tenth. The goal for Uni came from A. Nicolosi while L. Hastie found the net for the Rams.

Northern Tigers dropped back one place to fourth when their match against fifth placed Parramatta FC was washed out.

Bankstown Berries climbed one place to sixth when they posted a 4-0 result over twelfth placed Spirit FC and that completed the double for the Berries as they were 8-0 winners in the first round.

St George are still eighth but Bankstown City Lions dropped back one place to eleventh when their clash was washed out.
