Terrific weekend weather made the quality football even more entertaining as the competitions inched towards the finishing line but it will come down to the results over the next two weeks to reach a decision about which teams will qualify for the finals series.

SUPA IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 2 – Overview

Mt Druitt Town Rangers had snatched all eighteen points from their six first round matches against Bankstown Berries but this time the Rangers could only take twelve points from the day.

Sydney University and Parramatta FC shared the points last time they met with each club taking nine points from the encounter but Uni came to the fore on Saturday when they collected fifteen points from the encounter.

Hills Brumbies claimed ten points from their first round meeting with St George and the Brumbies went on with the job when they earned twelve points from this week’s clash.

Spirit FC went home with ten points in their collective pockets following their first round clash with Fraser Park and while it was not quite as good this time around, Spirit still managed to take eight points from the day.

Mounties Wanderers bagged twelve points when they faced Macarthur Rams last time around and this time the Wanderers added another ten points to their tally for the season.   

Bankstown City Lions and Northern Tigers shared the spoils from their first round matches at nine points apiece but this time the Tigers gained the advantage when they collected ten points.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers began the day as the frontrunners on this table by a margin of twenty-one points and they had claimed all the points when the met fourth placed Bankstown Berries last time. However, this week the Rangers were happy to settle for nine points from the return matches. However, their lead has been cut back to eighteen points while the Berries have slipped back to fifth.

Sydney University came into this round in second place while Parramatta FC were placed twelfth. Uni had taken nine points from the day when the clubs met in the first round and Uni went one better this week when they claimed all twelve points from the day. That has left Uni in second spot and Parramatta are still twelfth.

Hills Brumbies were in third position before a ball was kicked on the day and they had collected seven points from their first round engagement with sixth placed St George. The Brumbies must have been pleased when they finished this week’s encounter with nine points to show for their efforts and they have retained third place but the Saints have dropped back to seventh.

Spirit FC arrived at this round in fifth place and they faced eighth placed Fraser Park. Spirit had taken seven points from the first round clash and they repeated that effort when they earned seven points this week. That has allowed Spirit to climb to fourth position and it has left Fraser Park at eighth.

In Round 15 catch-up action Spirit FC earned seven points from their matches against Macarthur Rams. Spirit had collected nine points when the clubs met in the first round.

Mounties Wanderers started the day in seventh position and they had earned six points from their first round encounter with tenth placed Macarthur Rams. However, on this occasion the Rams collected seven points from the return fixture. The Wanderers are now in sixth position and the Rams have moved up to ninth.

In Round 14 catch-up action Mounties Wanderers gained seven points from their clash with Fraser Park. The clubs had spilt the first round spoils at six points apiece.

Northern Tigers were in ninth position when the first whistle for the day sounded and they had shared the first round points with eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions with both clubs taking six points from the day. This time the Lions had the upper hand when they claimed seven points from the encounter. That has caused the Tigers to slip back to tenth and left the Lions at eleventh.

Sydney University were the competition leaders on goal difference at kick-off time and they had beaten twelfth placed Parramatta FC 4-0 when they met last time around. Uni completed the double this time when they recorded a 4-1 result. That was enough to leave Uni at the top of the ladder while Parramatta are still in twelfth place.

Hills Brumbies came into this game in second place on goal difference and St George were seven points further back in third place. The Saints had taken the first round points with a 1-0 win but the tables were turned this time around when the Brumbies posted a 2-1 scoreline with the goals for the Brumbies coming from M. Clowes and I. Mahendran. The Brumbies have remained in second spot but the Saints have tumbled back to fifth.

The teams had battled out a scoreless draw in the first round. Spirit climbed to third when they registered a 2-0 victory this week and that has left Fraser Park at sixth. The goals were scored by C. Rose who netted a double.

In Round 14 catch-up action Fraser Park came up with a 1-0 win over Mounties Wanderers. Fraser Park had collected the first round points with a 3-0 result.

In Round 15 catch-up action Spirit FC produced a 1-0 victory over Macarthur Rams with the winning goal coming from C. Maguire. Spirit were 3-1 winners last time they faced the Rams.

Northern Tigers arrived at this match in seventh place and they had suffered a 2-0 first round loss to eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions. The Lions have proved to be a bogey team for the Tigers as they were 4-1 winners this week. Both teams remained where they were on the table. the Tigers’ goal was scored by E. Blackwood.

Mounties Wanderers started this match in ninth position and they were five points ahead of tenth placed Macarthur Rams. Their first round clash had ended in a 1-1 draw but it was a bit different this time as the Rams claimed the full ration of points with a 3-0 success thanks to goals from B. Richards (2) and C. Rubio. This result did not affect the position of either team on the table.

SUPA IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 2 – Grade 13

Bankstown Berries began the day as the competition leaders by a margin of six points over second placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers who had claimed the first round points with a 2-0 win. The Berries continued their success with a 2-1 win this week and that took their leading margin to nine points, giving them the title as Premiers. The Rangers have retained second spot.

Sydney University were in third place when this game kicked off and they had suffered a 3-2 loss to ninth placed Parramatta FC when they teams met last time around. It was a very different tale to be told this time as Uni produced a stunning 9-0 result and that has kept them in third place while Parramatta have dropped back to tenth.

Mounties Wanderers came into this match in fourth position and they were held to a scoreless draw when they faced fifth placed Macarthur Rams in the first round. This time the Wanderers collected the full ration of points when they were 2-0 winners and that has left them in fourth place while the Rams are still fifth. Finding the net for the Wanderers were N. Pangallo and P. Nichols.

Hills Brumbies were in sixth place and four points outside the top five when the first whistle sounded and they had produced a 2-0 win over seventh placed St George in their first round meeting. The Brumbies completed the double when they posted a 1-0 win this time and that has left them at sixth while the Saints have dropped back to eighth. Scoring the winner was T. Gittany.

Spirit FC were in eighth place at kick-off time and they met twelfth placed Fraser Park from whom Spirit had claimed the first round points with a 3-0 scoreline. Spirit went on with the job when they registered a 1-0 result this week and that has moved them up to seventh spot while Fraser Park are now eleventh. The winning goa was scored by S. Gosling.

In Round 15 catch-up action Spirit FC suffered a 2-0 loss to Macarthur Rams thanks to goals from B. Lampert and J. Starr. The first round points went to the Rams when they won 2-1.

In Round 14 catch-up action Fraser Park defeated Mounties Wanderers 1-0. The Wanderers had taken the first round points with a 1-0 result.

Bankstown City Lions and Northern Tigers arrived at this game in tenth and eleventh places respectively with their positions being determined by goal difference. The Tigers were 1-0 winners in the first round clash and they completed the double when they won 3-0 this time around. The Tigers have climbed to ninth and the Lions are now twelfth.

The Rangers maintained their good form with a 2-1 win on this occasion and that has assured them of the title as Premiers while the Berries have slipped back to fourth.

Sydney University were in second place at kick-off time while Parramatta FC were in twelfth position, The first round points had gone to Uni with a 2-0 result and they did it again this week, this time winning with a 3-1 scoreline. They are still in second spot and Parramatta are still at the foot of the table.

Fraser Park started the day in fourth place and they had beaten tenth placed Spirit FC 1-0 when the teams faced each other last time around. However, this week the teams shared the points when their match ended in a 1-1 draw. Fraser Park are now in third place and Spirit are still tenth. The goal for Spirit was scored by S. John while L. Gasowski found the net for Fraser Park.

In Round 14 catch-up action Fraser Park and Mounties Wanderers battled out a scoreless draw. The first round points went to the Wanderers thanks to a 3-1 win.

In Round 15 catch-up action the match between Spirit FC and Macarthur Rams ended in a 1-1 draw. Spirit’s goal came from L. Baker and E. Maguire netted for the Rams. Spirit collected the first round points with a 3-0 scoreline.

Mounties Wanderers were placed fifth when the first whistle sounded and Macarthur Rams were ninth. The Wanderers had claimed the first round points with a 1-0 result but the ledger was squared this week when the Rams produced a 4-1 result. The Rams’ scorers were E. Maguire (2), J. Bloor and N. Shipley. While A. Beuk netted for Mounties. The Wanderers have dropped back to sixth and the Rams have moved up to eighth.

Bankstown City Lions came into this game in sixth place, just two points short of the top five, and they were 4-1 winners when they met eighth placed Northern Tigers last time. The Lions registered a 2-0 win on Saturday and they are now in fifth place while the Tigers have slipped back to ninth.

History repeated when the Brumbies were 1-0 winners once again thanks to a strike from D. Wozniczka. Both teams remained where they were on the table.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers had already claimed the title as Premiers and they came into this game as the leaders by a margin of fifteen points while Bankstown Berries were in eleventh position. The Rangers claimed the first round points with a 3-2 win and they completed the double this week with a 3-1 result. The Rangers cannot be budged from the top spot and the Berries are still eleventh.

Sydney University were in second place when the first whistle sounded and they had beaten eighth placed Parramatta FC by a 3-1 scoreline last time the teams met. This time Uni were able to post a 5-1 result and they are still in second place but Parramatta have dropped back to ninth.

Spirit FC arrived at this game in third place while Fraser Park were in ninth position. Last time around Spirit took the points with a 2-0 result. However, the outcome of this week’s return match was not known at the time of writing.

Northern Tigers began the day in fifth place and they were up against twelfth placed Bankstown City Lions who the Tigers had beaten 2-0 in the first round clash. This time around the teams were locked up at 0-0 when the final whistle sounded. That has forced the Tigers back to sixth while the Lions are still twelfth.

Macarthur Rams were three points outside the top five in seventh position when they faced tenth placed Mounties Wanderers. The teams had battled out a 1-1 draw in the first round and history repeated as the teams completed a high scoring nail-biter at 3-3 this time. The goals for the Rams came from H. Bagot (2) and M. Colombo while M. O’Neill scored a hat-trick for the Wanderers. The Rams are still seventh and the Wanderers are now in eighth place.

SUPA IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 2 – Grade 16

Coming into this game as the competition frontrunners by a margin of two points, Mt Druitt Town Rangers were 2-1 winners last time they saw second placed Bankstown Berries. This week the Rangers completed the double when they won 2-0. The Rangers have extended their lead to four points and the Berries have tumbled back to sixth.

In Round 15 catch-up action Mt Druitt Town Rangers came up with a 2-0 win over St George.  The Saints had collected the first round points with a 3-2 victory.

Mounties Wanderers started the day in third position and they had won their first round game against ninth placed Macarthur Rams with a 4-0 scoreline. The Wanderers did it again, this time posting a 4-1 result. The goals for the Wanderers came from L. Hinton (3) and H. Callaghan while S. Rose scored for the Rams. The Wanderers are now in second spot and the Rams have slipped back to tenth.

In Round 14 catch-up action Mounties Wanderers and Fraser Park fought out a scoreless draw. The Wanderers were 1-0 winners when the teams met last time.

Northern Tigers kicked off this game in fourth place and they were up against twelfth placed Bankstown City Lions who the Tigers had beaten 2-0 last time they faced each other.  History repeated when the Tigers posted a 2-0 result this week and they have climbed into third place while the Lions are still at the foot of the table. Scoring a double for the Tigers was O. Perricone.

When the first whistle sounded Parramatta FC were in fifth place while Sydney University were seventh. The first round points had gone to Parramatta thanks to a 1-0 result and they completed the double with a very solid 5-0 result on Saturday. Parramatta have moved up to fourth and Uni are still in seventh spot.

Spirit FC were sixth and just two points short of the top five at kick-off time while Fraser Park were in tenth position. Spirit had won the first round clash 1-0 but the teams shared the points this time when their match finished at 1-1. Spirit’s goal came from E. Manos while L. Dos Reis found the net for Fraser Park. Spirit are now in fifth position and Fraser Park have dropped to eleventh.

In Round 15 catch-up action Spirit FC recorded a 2-0 win over Macarthur Rams thanks to goals from E. Manos and R. Morsello.  The first round match finished in a 1-1 draw.

St George arrived at this match in eighth place and they had suffered a 2-1 loss in their first round clash with eleventh placed Hills Brumbies. This week the Brumbies came to the fore once again when they produced a 2-0 result. The Brumbies have shot up to eighth place, pushing the Saints back to ninth. 

SUPA IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 2 – Grade 18

Mounties Wanderers had an advantage of three points at the top of the table when they kicked off this match while Macarthur Rams were in eleventh position the first round points went to the Wanderers when they were 4-0 winners. The Wanderers completed the double this week when they came up with a 3-1 win and the Rangers have extended their lead to six points while the Rams have remained at eleventh. Scoring a hat-trick for the Wanderers was B. Gray while C. Sarcia netted for the Rams.

In Round 14 catch-up action Fraser Park defeated Mounties Wanderers with a 2-0 result. The Wanderers won the first round clash 4-0.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers came into this match in second place and they had beaten seventh placed Bankstown Berries 2-0 when they met in the first round. The tables were turned this time when the Berries claimed the points with a 2-0 victory. That has left the Rangers at second while the Berries are still seventh.

Fraser Park were in sixth place and just two points outside the top five when this match began while Spirit FC were in tenth position. The first round points had gone to Spirit when they won 1-0 but the accounts were squared when Fraser Park were leading 4-2 when the final whistle sounded and they are now in fifth place while Spirit are still tenth. Finding the net for Fraser Park were D. Fornito (2), N. Spinola and K. Lopes while Spirit’s goals came from K. Kilinc 1, A. Dauda.

In Round 15 catch-up action Spirit FC were beaten 1-0 by Macarthur Rams thanks to a strike from L. Hastie. Spirit came up with a 1-0 result when the teams met last time.

St George started the day in eighth place and they had suffered a 2-1 first round loss to ninth placed Hills Brumbies. However, the Saints evened things up when they posted a 2-0 victory this time around. Both teams remained where they were on the table.
