State Cups set for Semi-Final weekend
The Semi Finals of the State Cups – incorporating the Under 21 men’s Robertson Cup, the All Age Men’s Bill Cullinan Cup, The 12 boys Frank Broughton Cup and the 12 girls Cheryl Salisbury Cup will be staged this Sunday.
In what will be a huge Sunday for all teams involved, a number of mouthwatering clashes have been scheduled on the day.
Manly Association’s Wakehurst Soccer Club and St George Football Association’s Connells Point will be well supported on the day. Both clubs have four teams from the one club remaining in the semis, an outstanding feat.
Wakehurst with their 12 boys, 16 girls, 16 boys and 18 women and Connells Point with their 12 boys, 16 girls, 16 boys and 17 boys.
Colo SFC from the Nepean Football Association showed outstanding results with their girls teams (12 girls, 14 girls, 18 women) and AC United from Southern Districts Soccer Football Association (14 boys, 15 boys, 21 Men) each have three teams vying for the finals.
Flying the flag from Griffith Association is Leeton FC who face Bankstown Association’s Revesby Rovers in what will be a huge match up.
This weekend will see all the winners come together on Sunday 13th July at Blacktown Sports Park where the finals will be staged before a huge audience which will revel in the feast of football provided by those teams vying for State Cup success.
