APIA – Moving Ahead with Senior Appointments
APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC Inc continues to strive to be the most professional club in NSW.
The upgrade of Lambert Park and introduction of summer sixes football was just the beginning and we are proud to announce the following appointments for the 2015 season:
Youth Technical Director – Gregg Clarkson
With many years of coaching and hands on experience in sports management, Greg will take on the role of Youth TD and be responsible for rolling out the development plans of both FNSW and APIA.
U18 Coach – George Sidis
Serving his coaching apprenticeship with APIA for the past 4 years resulting in in no less than 4 teams getting into the final series and one minor premiership, and currently completing his C Licence, George is ready to step up to coach a team of his own. As a constant and vocal APIA and football supporter, George is a welcome appointment by the entire APIA family.
U20 Coach – Danial Cummins
A successful player in the old NSL and ending his career playing First Grade with APIA, Danial joined our coaching ranks in 2014 and showed his pedigree immediately. Genuinely recognised for his football knowledge and man management skills, Danial will be an exciting addition to the senior coaching ranks.
First Grade Coach – Billy McColl
Returning to manage the first grade Billy McColl is well known to the football community as a faithful servant to APIA and his positive approach to building a culture for players wishing to succeed will continue into the 2015 season. Billy brings with him a wealth of knowledge and passion to this very historic club.
Head of Football – Rod Williams
After serving a significant time as both coach and Technical Director for APIA, Rod Williams is now taking on the mantle of Head of Football where he will not only have oversight of all of the senior teams and the development of players wishing to join those teams, but also the dual selection and maintenance of the First Grade side with Billy McColl. Rod has a wealth of experience which has served APIA for many years and with this appointment is set to take APIA forward for many years to come.
Football Manager – Tony Raciti
It is difficult to discuss anything to do with APIA without mentioning Tony Raciti, the heart and soul of the club for so many years. Tony will continue to support and steer the Board and management of APIA Leichhardt tigers for many years to come.
