Bossley Park High Referees at SSA Football Championship

Bossley_Referees

Nine referees from Bossley Park High School were selected to officiate at the Schools Sport Australia Football Championship 2014 as part of Football NSW’s development of referees in schools.
The exceptional feedback on these referees’ performances was so good that Schools Sport Australia would like to expand the development program in the future.
Throughout the week the referees officiated over 30 games, receiving feedback at the conclusion of each match with specific training every night.
Football NSW would like to extend a special thank you to Geoff Stanmore, the dedicated teacher and driving force behind the program, and to commend these nine young referees on their outstanding conduct throughout the tournament.
Schools Sport Australia is the national body in Australia that brings together boys and girls from schools around the country to participate in sport. The Football Championship, which took place in Bendigo this year, featured boys and girls under the age of 12 competing for their state in a fun and festive atmosphere.
Congratulations to these young referees!
