Vale – Ted Drain

Football NSW was saddened to learn that former Socceroo, Ted Drain recently passed away.

Ted made his debut for the Australian National team in 1945 and was involved in various campaigns in 1948, 1951 and 1955.

He also represented the NSW State Team and played with Illawarra side and Australia’s second oldest running club Woonona in the State League from 1944 to 1953 as well as being named in the country’s team of the century in 2004.

Football NSW would like to pass on its deepest condolences to the Drain family.
