Eastern Suburbs Football Association has opened its doors to the next batch of youngsters and families to join the sport in 2015.

Their focus is now shifting towards introducing football to many more youngsters in the Eastern Suburbs .

Association general manager Aaron Dibdin said starting to play football at a young age was the beginning of a lifelong love of the sport and a possible future career.

“We are making a big push on improving our MiniRoos programs,” Dibdin said.

“The plan is to have administrators and head coaches provided to all clubs which provide MiniRoos.

“That way. we are helping the clubs run their MiniRoos much smoother.

“I think joining a club at the MiniRoos level is fantastic.

“All of the best players that Australia has produced have started their careers at local clubs and this could be the same for any youngsters in the Eastern Suburbs.”

The step up to representative level is also available for youngsters within the association who provide teams in the Football NSW skills acquisition program and regional conference league.

“We have a good pathway at the moment,” Dibdin said.

“Our aim is to develop our players as best as we can at the association level and then help them through our ranks before they take on the task of higher levels.”

Volunteers for the upcoming season are also being sought.

“We pride ourselves on being family orientated and we would love a weekend to become a family event where parents help out with either coaching, managing or around their clubs to help everything go well,” Dibdin said.
