The Men’s Competitions Review Working Group (MCRWG) has been established to consider the optimal competition structures and their connection to the talented player pathway for 2016 and beyond, for all FNSW Men’s and Youth Competitions.

These are the following competitions:

 • National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s 1 and 2

 • Football NSW Men’s State League 1 and 2

 • Football NSW Regional Competitions (League and Conference)

 • Football NSW Skill Acquisition Program (SAP)

The MCRWG is tasked primarily to understand the current model, the impacts of change flowing from the 2012 Competitions Review and to propose what changes, if any, should be made to further improve outcomes from FNSW Competitions. In line with the National Football Development Plan (NFDP) the areas for improvement will be:

 • Player Development

 • Game Development (Participation)

 • Club Development

The MRCWG is working to deliver a competition structure that facilitates long-term growth in participation and leads to improvement in quality of players, coaches, and referees as well as encourage club investment and commitment to elite development by those teams participating in FNSW competitions.
