It’s a super Sunday of football with four matches of Men’s State League 1 alongside two on Saturday night.

Rydalmere FC head out to Fraser Park, to face improving Inter in our Match of the Round.

Hawkesbury City SC v Stanmore Hawks, Saturday 4th July, 4pm, David Bertenshaw Field

It’s a rumble in the jungle as the two Hawks come together Saturday afternoon.

Hawkesbury are home again after their game last week was abandoned while Stanmore lost to North Shore.

Soteri Mavrou will lean on his defense that has leaked 29 goals this season to tighten up.

Up front Stanmore striker Christian Ekwerike was a handful and will need to be marked tightly by the Hawkesbury defense.

Western NSW Mariners v Nepean FC, Saturday 4th July, 7:30pm, Glen Willow Stadium,

Nepean FC head to Mudgee on a high to take on a faltering Western NSW team.

The visitors won 2-nil over the Magic while the Mariners drew with Inter.

Kodai Hayashi scored last time these two faced and will be keen to add to his three goal tally.

Andrew Fearnley will be keen to arrest the Mariners recent slump to push back into the top five.

Dulwich Hill FC v North Shore Mariners, Sunday 5th July, 3pm, Arlington Oval

Two of the top teams in Men’s State League 1 come together in a much anticipated clash.

Both teams were victorious last week against Granville and Stanmore respectively.

North Shore has swept all before them this season but face a tough task in limiting Sam Messam.

Their cause is helped by the suspension of Joel Iannacito for Dully in a tight tussle.

Inter Lions v Rydalmere Lions, Sunday 5th July, 3pm, Fraser Park (Match of the Round)

A resurgent Inter host second placed Rydalmere in this weekend’s match of the round.

Zakeriya Elrich’s double in last weekend’s win against Balmain lifted him to top scorer for the season.

Inter produced a spirited comeback led by captain Lachlan Wright’s penalty to draw 2-all.

He has been ably assisted by the twin threats of Gustavo Maya Valiente and Rosario Occhipinti up front recently.

Rydalmere are the competition’s entertainers, scoring 35 goals in 13 games. They hope to welcome back Lloyd Owusu this weekend.

These teams drew last they met at Rydalmere, so expect a blockbuster contest Sunday afternoon.

Granville Rage v Gladesville Ryde Magic, Sunday 5th July, 3pm, Garside Park

Tenth hosts fifth in an important contest Sunday afternoon.

Both teams come off losses, Magic lost to Nepean while the Rage fell to ten-man Dully.

The Magic hold onto fifth position and need to build results to hold off Balmain and Western NSW.

Alistair McKie needs to energise Gladesville from the midfield against a rigid Rage side.

Balmain Tigers FC v Hills Brumbies, Sunday 5th July, 3pm, Magdala Park

Two teams that have been up and down in the last few weeks come together at Magdala Park.

Balmain lost a seven-goal thriller to Rydalmere while the Brumbies missed out due to fog.

Short spells of lost concentration has cruelled the Tigers season leaving them in seventh

Daniel Morsillo will be itching to get back to top of the goalscoring list against a tough Balmain team.
