Round 13 will see two local derbies kick off when the battle of the east takes place at David Phillips Field, between University of NSW and top-of-the-table Dunbar Rovers.

The second match-up features Hurstville FC and the Hurstville City Minotaurs which will kick-off at St George Football Stadium, for this week’s Match of the Round.

Hurstville FC vs Hurstville City Minotaurs, 5pm Saturday 11 July, St George Football Stadium (Match of the Round)

Hurstville FC will be searching for another win over little brothers, Hurstville City Minotaurs after they defeated them 2-0 in their round four catch-up match at Valentine Sports Park.

Hurstville FC are coming off a dominant 3-0 performance over Prospect United last week while, the Minotaurs made the trek out west to be defeated 5-1 by the Condors.

Traditionally, both sides more often than not have close encounters and the thought of squaring up bragging rights should give the Minotaurs plenty of motivation to force an upset.

University of NSW vs Dunbar Rovers, 3pm Saturday 11 July, David Phillips Field

University of NSW (UNSW) will host the Dunbar Rovers after their disappointing 4-0 loss to the Camden Tigers in Round 12.

Despite the score line, UNSW had a competitive first half and only lost touch with the match after conceding a penalty and red card in the process.

Dunbar on the other hand continue to add to their outstanding record despite their nil all draw to Hurstville FC in last week’s catchup match.

This is the first Dunbar have not cashed in on all three points this season, breaking their 11-game winning streak.

Wagga City Wanderers vs Western Condors FC, 3pm Saturday 11 July, Gissing Oval

After picking up their first ever point in it’s first grade history last fortnight, the Wanderers smell more points and will be looking to capitalize on all three come Saturday.

It was an inspired performance against Southern Districts and a goal in injury time showed the resilience the Wanderers possess.

For the Western Condors, their 5-1 win over the Minotaurs keeps their season alive after four consecutive losses – all against the top four teams of the competition, saw them slump to the middle of the pack.

They will be looking to continue the momentum gained from last week, in order to surge at the back end of the season.

Prospect United vs Camden Tigers, 5pm Saturday 11 July, William Lawson Park

William Lawson Park will be the venue for this week’s middle of the table clash between Prospect United and the Camden Tigers.

Prospect are coming off a 1-1 draw with the Western Condors in their round seven catch-up match, which was played last week.

The Camden Tigers on the other hand, are in red-hot form after picking up their fifth consecutive win against FC Gazy Lansvale.

They are seated in fourth place and have a five-point buffer between them and fifth placed Prospect so there is a lot on the line for both clubs.

FC Gazy Lansvale vs Southern Districts SFA, 3pm Sunday 12 July, Progress Park

FC Gazy Lansvale will host Southern Districts SFA in our only Sunday match of the round.

FC Gazy still find themselves at the bottom of the pack and have not won since their round seven clash against the Wagga City Wanderers.

They will come out of the blocks firing in search of a victory against Districts at home, who are tied-second with Hurstville FC.

Districts along with the Wanderers are the only two teams to have last week off, while the rest of the competition slugged it out in their respective catch-up matches.

They will come into the match fresh with their usual winning mentality.
