Forbes swept up in MiniRoos fever
The Central West NSW town of Forbes caught AIA Vitality MiniRoss fever as the Kick Off site for a Girls only program was implemented recently.
Program Manager Doug McKenzie promoted the program throughout all local community and schools for the Under 5’s and 6’s as well as the 7’s to 10’s program with as many as 35 girls attending the ten week program.
Known as the only Girls MiniRoos program in the Central West of NSW, Forbes has established an excellent benchmark for the future of more female footballers playing the sport.
Over the next couple of weeks, the Girls will participate in the Cowra and Young Junior Gala Days as well as the Lachlan Cup between Forbes, Cowra and Young junior teams.
