Bill Turner success for Westfield Sports

Westfield Sports High School have completed a clean sweep of the Bill Turner Cup & Trophy, winning both the boys and girls tournaments for 2015.
The annual event took place this week at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility, home to Northern NSW Football.
Princess Ibini-Isei scored a hattrick in the first half an hour of the Girls Final between Westfield Sports and Holy Spirit Bellambi, securing her team a lead that would be insurmountable for the Wollongong outfit.
Ellie Carpenter, also from Westfield Sports High and a teammate of Ibini-Isei in the Football NSW Institute, took out Player of the Final following an outstanding contribution in the middle of the park.
It is the tenth Bill Turner Trophy for Westfield Sports High, adding to their silverware tally in the boys Bill Turner Cup, of which they’ve now won eight. Westfield also claimed the Player of the Final in the boys match, with Rani Najjarine given the honour.
While Westfield’s three goals inside 22 minutes secured the win Ipswich Grammar didn’t allow their opponents an easy passage. A late goal, after many promising raids were turned away by the Sydney team, showed the lads from Queensland never gave in.
Football NSW would like to congratulate Westfield Sports High, as well as all the NSW representatives in the Bill Turner Cup & Trophy tournaments.
