Grandfinal_2015-37

Football NSW have put together an official PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 1 Grand Final Player Ratings in what was an entertaining match which saw the Bonnyrigg White Eagles run out 2-0 victors over Blacktown City at Leichhardt Oval.
Here’s how the players faired.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC
James Chronopoulos – 7
Rarely called into action, the Bonnyrigg White Eagles keeper handled himself very well when called upon.
Chris Tadrosse – 9
A fairy tale finish to a fairy tale career, the White Eagles captain did a superb job on Danny Choi and Travis Major and was equally effective at the other end, picking up an assist. A deserving winner of the Robbie Slater medal in his final game.
Taylor McDonald – 8
Picked out of nowhere by coach Brian Brown, the uninformed observer would never have guessed McDonald was making his first senior start. Commanded the right fullback position with maturity beyond his years.
Dylan Fox – 7
Assured in the tackle and composed on the ball, Dylan Fox enjoyed a terrific game for the White Eagles.
Ray Miller – 7
Bonnyrigg’s midfield maestro has been a goliath all season and Ray Miller was in fine form again as he helped his side to another Championship win.
Nikola Zonjic – 7
A steady performance at the back from Nikola Zonjic, a player who proved one of Bonnyrigg’s most consistent players this season.
Tynan Diaz – 8
The Bonnyrigg White Eagles’ self-proclaimed jokester looked like he was enjoying himself on the park once again as his direct running and quality set piece delivery troubled Blacktown City all day.
Robbie Younis – 8
Once again, Robbie Younis provided a reliable target up top and, of course, a reliable route to goal, capping off another magnificent season with another superb free kick.
Mun-soo Gil – 6
Mun-soo Gil put in a solid, industrious shift as the Korean played his part in Championship glory.
Ben Spruce – 7
Another solid performance from Ben Spruce who was as tidy as ever at the back.
Yuta Kokada – 8
The Japanese midfielder was outstanding for the White Eagles once again and capped it all off with a superbly taken goal.

Blacktown City FC
Nenad Vekic – 6
A tough day at the office for the this season’s Golden Glove winner, Nenad Vekic could do little about the goals he conceded, but was otherwise pretty clean in whatever he had to do.
Zach Cairnross – 5
A solid performance out spoiled by a moment of madness; this was perhaps a day to forget for Blacktown captain Zach Cairncross.
Travis Major – 6
Up against quality opposition in Chris Tadrosse on one side and Taylor McDonald on the other, Travis Major struggled to influence proceedings.
Matt Lewis – 7
A standout for Blacktown, Matt Lewis defended superbly throughout the game.
Giorgio Speranza – 6.5
Toiled hard all day and was good defensively but struggled going forward.
Sasa Macura – 7
The Blacktown midfielder put in a great shift in midfield and threatened at time but was pegged back by some good Bonnyrigg pressure high up the ground.
Joey Gibbs – 6
Joey Gibbs struggled at times up front as he looked to bulldoze his way through a stubborn defence, but he certainly could not be accused of not trying.
Daniel Araujo – 8
Arguably Blacktown City’s best player as he moved between the lines nicely, distributing the ball neatly and effectively.
Patrick Antelmi – 7
So often the difference, Patrick Antelmi just could not find the magic. His work rate was through the roof again and he was behind some of Blacktown’s best openings.
Yianni Fragogiannis – 6
Struggled with the constant overlap from Chris Tadrosse and was caught between a rock and a hard place at times between the White Eagles captain and Yuta Kokado.
Danny Choi – 6
Maybe high expectations count against Danny Choi, but he never approached his best form as the winger put in a tentative performance.
