The 2015 NSW PSSA (Primary Schools Sports Association) Football Knockout Finals took place at Valentine Sports Park on Monday, 12th of October as Griffith East Public School (Girls) and Tacking Point Public School (Boys) were crowned champions.

Over 900 plus primary schools from across NSW participated in this prestigious knockout tournament as all roads led to Football NSW’s official headquarters in finding out just who would be the best in both the girls and boys categories.

Organised by the experienced and now retiring Mr Carey Binks and his assistant Paul McSweeney, the day showcased some great football from the top four boys and girls teams in NSW.

Competing for the Girls title were:

·         Griffith East Public School

·         Barnsley Public School

·         Winston Hills Public School

·         Woy Woy Public School

Competing for the Boys Title were:

·         Gladesville Public School

·         Tacking Point Public School

·         Hillsborough Public School

·         Blaxland East Public School

Both Finals were closely fought battles with the deciding goals being scored in the dying stages of each match.

Griffith East Public School defeated Woy Woy Public School 2-1 to claim the NSW PSSA Girls Football Knockout Title while Tacking Point Public School scored a thrilling victory over Blaxland East Public School 3-2 to claim the NSW PSSA Boys Football Knockout Title.

Congratulations to both Griffith East PS and Tacking Point PS and thank you for all that were involved in making this a wonderful event.
